The big tech companies are not sleeping in the times of global crisis of coronavirus. In an effort to help the people of America, Apple Inc has donated tens of millions of dollars toward the global COVID-19 response which also includes that Global Citizen and America’s Food Fund.

10 million face shields distribution

In support to the global crisis of COVID19, Apple Inc has designed, tested, and distributed almost 10 million face shields and also sourced over 30 million face masks, that is specifically for the healthcare professionals in hard-hit areas of the pandemic.

COVID-19 symptom-checking website and app

The company has also developed a COVID-19 symptom-checking website and app, in partnership with the CDC and announced a collaboration with Google Inc. (GOOGL) to develop COVID-19 contact tracing technology to help the governments and health agencies limit the spread of the virus, with the user privacy and security central to the design.

The company’s impact also extends to its range of innovative services as Apple News is connecting users with trusted information from reliable sources with its dedicated COVID-19 section. And in this, it has worked with everyone from Oprah to Lady Gaga to help the customers find information, entertainment, and better ways to contribute to the charitable causes through Apple TV.
