An executive of Google, Tania Aidrus has reportedly stepped down from her position at the tech giant to lead the ‘Digital Pakistan’ initiative set by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Tania Aidrus has arrived in the country from Singapore, to become a part of ‘Digital Pakistan’ and to offer her service to the country’s digitalisation programme. The digitalisation initiative titled ‘Digital Pakistan’ will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Khan in the evening.
The ceremony if this ambitious program and inauguration will be held at the Prime Minister Office in Islamabad. The correspondence between government departments will be done through digital channels, instead of paper, under the programme.
The Federal Ministry of Information and Technology has been given the task of developing the programme in August by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The IT ministry has completed the project within the stipulated time of three months.
